Flipboard is an excellent way to collect updates from newspapers, journals, blogs, magazines as well as video channels. This video of my flipboard shows some of the ways in which I am using it on my iPad.

Look for the symbol below, on web pages. Clicking that image activates subscription. You can receive updates from Internet explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird (free email management software), Chrome extensions, Firefox addons, as well as WordPress Reader (if you own a wordpress blog)

You can also manage subscriptions to your favourite videos and channels as well as blogs and people through YouTube channel, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn and  probably Facebook too.
