Like every year, this new year too presents us with an empty canvas. We have witnessed that the act of will has caused innumerable conflicts in and around us, and if one were intelligent, one would act from compassion rather than with reckless instincts.

If only we could let the past be in its place, forge better relationships by spending quality time with each other, listen more as many people are lonely, acknowledge the experience of those who have trodden before our time, and then step into the new year…
